My name is Stephanie, I am in my mid twenties, I have been married for almost a year and a half and I have been working in retail - specifically ladies clothing for nearly 5 years. I have been struggling to figure out my place in the adult/working world since finishing high school, I come up with ideas or family and friends suggest things but nothing ever makes sense in my heart. I have always been creative in many areas but nothing ever quite fit.
Recently, a friend and I were terribly bored in our tiny little town and we decided to do the rounds of our local thrift stores. We had a lot of fun and found a lot of neat things so we decided to do it again, and again. Adding onto the itinerary each time with the Sunday local flea market and other various places, branching into other towns eventually making these outings all day events!
In December, My husband and I moved into our own home and with little money I began using these outings to decorate my home, really seeing value in the 1 dollar items I picked! Each time I would come home with bags full of stuff and my husband would look at me painfully and say “what did you do now?” but when I showed him that I payed for everything with a $10 bill and change to spare he was amazed!
Now I’m at the point where I’m still finding great things but no where to put some of them in my home. I still cant pass them up so I bring them home and list them on my shop for someone else to love! I still haven’t figured out what exactly I want to do with my life but I do know that I need to enjoy the life I have and have passion about something, and right now that’s vintage housewares and other pretty trinkets!
